Ayanna

Stepmom, adoptive mom, business owner, podcast host, fitness movement instructor, mindfulness coach, licensed social worker and soon to be author. I'm honest, brave and silly. My greatest life struggle has been with alcohol addiction that started after I graduated college. I went to rehab twice but have been able to find true healing and a beautiful life in sobriety. I don't feel defined by it but I choose to share it out loud to help other people currently struggling. My best day was when we finally adopted my daughter. She is my best teacher and brightest light in my life. She is full of joy and self love. She's resilient and loves me more than I love myself. Though I do now, I did not always feel good enough. Due to trauma and things that happened in my childhood I didn't really feel good enough until I got sober. Now, I believe anything is possible if I love myself, take care of myself and live in the joy of high vibration. I'd tell a 12 year old me to stay brave even though she feels broken. I'd tell her she is enough. The ingredients to happiness are self love, laughter, and creativity. Beauty is found in someone who is healing. I love my booty! It is full of muscle and swagger - it makes me feel like a strong woman. I wish women would stop putting themselves down and step into their power. I wish there was less racism and more love in the world. I'm excited about building my non profit that will be able to make a huge impact on the lives of others through movement, mindfulness and fun. I am proud of my sobriety, my ability to have faith in the universe and to trust my gut above all else. I love to laugh. I feel most alive when I'm dancing. I value authenticity, love and humor. I am Ayanna and I am fucking brave.
