I've felt not good enough and have fallen into comparison but these days I love all of me. I love my body no matter what stage it's in - pregnant, competing in fitness or just living everyday.

I am 23 years sober and I am still working on becoming my true self.

Being a sober woman has given me hope and the tools to live my best life. Most days I look at my 53 year old body and find love though personal insecurity has been a lifelong struggle for me.

Today I don't feel as bad about my diagnosis. I'm learning that it isn't always a death sentence. I have my daughter to live for so guess what? I'm not going anywhere!

I'm excited about where life is bringing me. I feel a shift happening. There is more out there for me I just don't know what it is yet! I'm proud of my drive. I have never let a situation bring me down, if anything it propels me.

My worst day was the day I lost my baby bro to a drug overdose. Addiction has affected our lives more than once.

Postpartum depression after my 3rd child resulted in my rock bottom. I felt alone and hopeless in the world…. I’ve learned to use meditation, exercise, reading, podcasts, therapy and asking for help whenever I feel overwhelmed.

I watched my parents struggle to keep things afloat. At a young age I knew I never wanted to struggle because of money. I was the first person in my family to get a college education.

I grew up in Pakistan where family homes are common so I was raised by a village. As one of very few half Americans living in Karachi at the time I was picked on and made fun of like any kid who's different…we moved to the US. By then I identified as a South East Asian woman and didn't fit in here either.

I struggle with a learning disability so it can be tough to balance all of my school work. At times I feel defined by it but I try my best to push through and ask for help when I need it.

I value my family & friends, my sobriety and my health. I was raised by my two amazing parents who taught me what true love means and to always keep the faith.

I fear "special needs mom" burn out, losing myself & the fun loving relationship my husband & I have because life is pulling us every which way. I fear what will happen when I'm gone. I have "normal" mom worries too.

For as long as I can remember I've struggled with putting myself first.

I want to truly love myself & continue positive inner dialogue. I am on the path of love. I believe happiness comes from love, laughter & being grateful for what you have.

My greatest struggle has always been seeing my body in a positive light and believing that I’m beautiful, strong & confident.

I'd say I'm an introvert but having a son with nonverbal autism has forced me to spread my wings in the most incredible ways.

It's hard to give myself grace when my body needs to rest. I fear not being well enough to continue to work and help others.

My father grew up with nothing & instead of living in a victim mentality, he turned to LOVE. This was my example. My gift is my ability to pour the right belief into people to help them soar to greatness.

At 41, I struggle the most with the passing of both my parents while still being a parent to young children. As Nora McInery said, "you don't move on from your grief, you move forward with it."

The new story I'm living by is that my past does not define me. I know I am here to serve a bigger and better purpose.
